Upgraded at AKL?

Haven't seen this thread in awhile...

Personally, we've received room upgrades twice at AKL in the past. (In 2003 we were upgraded from std to savannah (bunk beds!) and then in 2005 we got bumped up from pool view to savannah.)

Just wondering now that 3 years have past since our last stay there, are these types of upgrades still pretty common. Of course, it probably depends on time of year and how full the resort is...

Let me know the dates you stayed and if you received a complimentary upgrade! (PS: I never asked to be upgraded when checking in, ours were just random.)

Last week we had an AP rate standard view and they gave us a savannah view - though looking right at the construction site.

We've never been upgraded at Disney...but we also paid for savannah view and I'm sure they aren't sending us up to Concierge!

We were upgraded from a standard to savannah back in 2006. I would assume that after having converted a large number of their rooms to DVC, they don't have as many upgrades to give.
