Here are the rules basically.
1. An upgrade is taking one ticket, adding cash (or something similar), and ending up with one ticket with more entitlements. You cannot combine two or more tickets to end up with one ticket.
2. The GAD ticket may be upgraded. It has the full value of a one day ticket. However, the specific sequence is to get the GAD ticket at "will-call", enter a park with that ticket, and then go to any Guest Relations Office or Ticket Window to upgrade it to something with more entitlements.
3. A GAD ticket cannot be applied to any existing package.
4. A GAD ticket cannot be combined with any other ticket (See #1, which explains what an upgrade is).
And you might want to go over to the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies Forum; there is an subforum devoted to the GAD program.

Isn't she outside of the 30 day window while she is at WDW?
)and I haven't kept up with things obviously. Back in the day fastpass was just a way to get a shorter line and totally free. .??
