Hi all I just found out you can upgrade your Disney dvd's to blue ray for a cost. The link is http://www.disneyupgrade2blu.com/. You have to own the regular disc and have the proof of purchase tab, cut it out and attach it to the form and mail away. Yopu then get an $8 dollar voucher toward your new dvd's. The catch you get to keep your original dvd's as well.:confused3
Hope this helps some of you.

Wow, great deal. I just bought a dozen Disney DVDs at Bestbuy for 9.99 each, some of which are on the list.

I believe you can use the coupons for any Blueray DVD on the list. If for instance you own Sleeping Beauty and send in the POP. You can use it to buy one of the BD on the approved list. If you wanted say G-Force no you could not use the $8 coupon as it does not appear on the approved list.
I could be wrong but this is how they work to my knowledge.:scared1:

So does the $8 coupon have to be used toward that specific blu-ray?

The coupon you get (print at home) will be for the specific dvd you have. Like if you send in the proof of purchase for A Bug's Life DVD The coupon will only be good for A Bug's Life Blue Ray (or Blue ray combo)

Just curious how many people feel they need to upgrade to Blu-ray copies of DVD's they aready own? I will certainly purchase Blu-ray copies of any new movies that I don't own, but for me I won't be hurrying out to spend more money replacing my current collection considering the old DVD's will still play and be up-converted (though not to true HD quality) using our Bluray player. I personally don't think my kids or I will enjoy the movies any more than we already do by playing them at a higher resolution.

Maybe there are some new bonus features on the Blu-ray discs, but for now I'll stick with what I've got, including some of the old "Gold Collection" DVD's that have absolutely no bonus features on them.

Of course, that's just me and for anyone who feels upgrading is worth it to them, please go ahead. As a Disney stockholder, I thank you! :)

of course the deal of $10 off when the new blue ray comes out is a better deal.

I have been upgrading as they are released, only if it is a movie I really really like ( it took me years to get snow white on DVD and Beauty and the beast so I didn't take a chance this time) plus DVD's sometimes won't let me skip to the main menu on my blue ray player.
