I have a discounted room rate booked next month the week before easter it will be myself and my 9 year old cousin on a girls trip. Is it possible for me to make my discounted room rate a ticketless package and add the dining plan?

No. The only way that is allowed is when you are using the military armed forces salute room discount.

Update: they didn't allow me to add the dining plan to my existing reservation. i ended up completely having to rebook a completely different deal. a bit disappointed they wouldn't just take my money but I'm going to Disney world so cant be too mad

We're you booked through Disney, or through someone else? Stays booked through Disney shouldn't have a problem adding the dining plan and keeping your room only discount. Reservations booked elsewhere sometimes aren't eligible to add the dining plan.

Adding the ddp does cause package rules to apply.

I booked through Disney they told me in order to add dining i wood have to cancel and rebook. The gentleman i spoke to said my deal was no longer available so I wouldnt be able to rebook at the price i had and add dining

Oh no. You should have said, "no thank you," and called back. They do have to rebook it as a package reservation, but they should have been able to keep your deal. If the promotion you had booked had already expired, it could be they couldn't keep your deal, but I would have definitely called back and then maybe even asked for a supervisor to be sure that is the case.

I had booked a sun and fun room offer and that is still a bookable deal, so not expired. I emailed customer service I've called three times since then and haven't had much help i now have 6 nights booked as a ticketless package and 1 additional night at the same hotel no dining plan or package it's not perfect but it's the best i could come up with after taking bad advice from the original cast member i spoke with. They did say they would put a note on my reservation requesting for me to keep my room for the last night. But they were unable to just add a night onto my package even though there is availability seeing as I was able to book one night there ugh

They may not be able to add a night to your package even though there are rooms available. The allotment per night of rooms for the deal may have already been met for that extra night. Do you still have the sun and fun rate on your 6 nights?

I was able to do exactly this with a CM on the phone. They cancelled my room only reservation, held the room so no one else could book it, and then rebooked with dining. It's most definitely do-able, you just need someone who know what they are doing (and is willing to to do it). I'm sorry the CM wasn't more helpful.

Something is not right. I just went through and made a "dummy" reservation under the Sun and Fun promotion for the week before Easter, and I was given the option at the end to add a dining plan.

I'm booked with that room discount (still it's $615/night ugh for a one bedroom Beach Club Villa) and debating getting the deluxe dining plan. My reason is that it's our 25th anniversary (going last week of May for 8 nights), and I'm booking some special dinners (just got Brunch at the Top booked today). It may actually cost less with this plan (but honestly I know I'll be bringing home a lot of treats, as I'm not a huge eater, but will enjoy nicer meals). Like dinner at Cape May is now almost $50/person? But we enjoyed whenever we've eaten there, so with the dining plan we'd definitely do that.

This is exactly what I was told this morning when I went to add the dining plan to my upcoming trip. The lady I had on the phone was SOOOOO helpful and although I had to wait on hold for a long time, she spoke with someone else and got them to keep my room rate and add the dining plan. I guess it all depends on who you get on the phone line. In the future, I would hang up and try again if who you are talking to isn't prepared to take your money.
