Upgrade to Moderate?

I prefer the values to the moderates. If I chose a moderate I would pick POFQ for its small size or book a prefered room to be close to the food court.

I also prefer the queues at the resorts for the bus stops at the values to the "free for all" when the bus arrives at the moderates/deluxe resorts.

I like that once I'm on the bus at the values I go right to the parks rather than make more stops like it does at the moderates.

Different/more toiletries
Only CSR has upgraded toiletries. Other mods have the same as values.

We love POR and highly recommend it! We found CBR not what we expected...nothing was exactly wrong, but it was not our style at all. We love POR - love the boat to DTD, love the pool, love the food court, love the surrey bikes and path to PFQ. We do hope to try CSR in the future, but just booked another stay at POR because we know it's a great fit for our family!

That being said, one of our best trips was at All Star Sports with our kids when they were 3 and 6. The oversized props and bright, bustling food courts were just what we needed with our busy family! I was very hesitant about staying there and REALLY wanted to upgrade. But we knew we wouldn't be using the room much except to sleep, so kept the value reservation. Great decision for us at the time and we had a wonderful trip.

We are currently booked at Pop Century the beginning of May. If you had a little extra cash, and could book a moderate resort, where would you stay?

Our girls are 5 1/2 and this is their first trip.

With two 5.5 yr old girls on their first trip, I would absolutely, hands down pick the Royal guest rooms at POR. Think about their first trip, where the princesses live...and they get to stay in a room designed by them??? Seems like a no-brainer to me, as long as its in budget. :goodvibes

We upgraded last year on our trip because we decided not to do waterpark tickets and we wanted the water slide. We upgraded to POFQ from POP and loved it!

I was going to suggest Royal rooms at Port Orleans as well. That's where we're staying this May. It's always nice to have a fresh, newly refurbished room, and these look amazing with their fun princess theme. Plus they have queen size beds versus the doubles at the values.

I would! Our favorite is Caribbean! I mean don't get me wrong you are going to have a great time at the value resorts but the pools at the moderate are so fun and depending on where you go you will have watersides too! I'm sure your kids would love those!

I feel like the rooms and service at moderate resorts are slightly better to, and if this is a once in a lifetime or once in a great while trip it may be worth it to splurge :lovestruc

An upgrade would do more for adults than the kids, The kids will like it no matter where you are at.
