Upgrade to concierge at Poly?

Has anyone checked in to Poly and upgraded (for a cost) to concierge? I'm wondering how often it's available (if ever) and what the cost was.

I have seen posts that describe upgrading to concierge, for the current difference between the view that's been booked and the current concierge rate.

That usually means the rack rate for concierge MINUS the rack rate for the level actually booked, on top of whatever rate you booked at.

In other words, about $100 per night extra (if you've booked standard garden view.)

We've never tried to upgrade at check in but from what I have read on these boards, the concierge level at the Poly is often booked so availability might be an issue even if the extra cost was not. I know the concierge level is sold out for the end of May(friends were trying to join us for a few day and could not get a room no matter which combination of days they tried, even at rack rate!). As long as you didn't have your heart set on it, it would be worth it to inquire at check in.....nothing ventured, nothing gained
