Upgrade to club now costs 1,000 pts?

Hello, all. I went to the SPG site to check my account balance. While doing that, I also went to the "room upgrade" page and see that it now costs 1,000 pts per night to upgrade to the club level. Has this just been changed or am I just behind the times?

I know somewhere there is a link w/ all the abbreviations, I thought I had most master by now. But what is SPG, I'm at a lost and ultimately nosey! Thanks

I noticed the same thing. I am hoping to upgrade to club level using points in June. We did this last year and it was 750 points per night. It certainly looks like the points per night has changed. I am curious as well if anyone has done this recently and how many points it was.

Starwood told me yesterday that the point amounts required to upgrade all went up as of Jan.1.

We just returned yesterday from the Swan and used points to upgrade. The desk clerk told us since the resort has been refurbished it is now 1250 points to upgrade to club. Since we had written confirmation with the old point value (750) he did honor that. If we had to use the 1250 we would not have had enough. SPG and Swan don't seem to always agree with point quotes!!!
