Upgrade to Ap - timing question

I bought the 2 + 2 free tickets and we're going to upgrade to APs. Do I have to wait until we've used the tickets once to upgrade? We want to buy tickets to Blue Man Group and there is a discount for AP so I was trying to figure out if I could upgrade early so I could grab the Blue Man tickets ahead of time.

I would use them first. Did you buy the tickets from UT or from Universal directly? Do they say they are a two day ticket with two free or do they say they are a normal 4 day ticket? That will make a difference. There seems to be a few times of 2 d 2 free tickets out there.

I got the FL resident ticket deal directly from universal, so the voucher says 2 days plus 2 free. I was hoping to get lucky and have them count as 4 day when we upgraded.

Does Blue Man sell out ever or do I not need to worry about that?

Pretty sure you will only get credit for 2 days whether you use them first or not since they came directly from Universal.

Hard to say if BMG will sell out depending on when you are there.
