Upgrade to AP *and* get offer

Does anyone know if I can upgrade from a UK 2 week ticket to an AP and also get the extra months for free please?

Only 3 more days till we go!!!!

I’m wondering the same. Going today and upgrading a two park ticket. The terms and conditions state not valid on “Prior purchase” so I’m skeptical. I’ll post my experience when we return.

Here now. Upgraded today to a preferred pass and was able to get 18 month pass. Had to pay $110 + tax to upgrade from a 2 Park 3 day ticket. Also upgraded four passes of same to season annual pass for $20+tax per person for a 15 month pass. Guest service said I had until April if I’d like to upgrade the season passes to preferred and still could the 18 month offer-giving the season passes three extra months. With parking being $22 per day and we normally stay off site, the 1 preferred pass was a no brained.

That refers to people who renewed or purchased the day before the offer went public.

I was not aware of this 3 months free offer....
We were at universal Monday 1st October & upgraded to seasonal annual passes ( definitely returning in May 2019 -possibly October 2019)
I stated we wished to upgrade tix to seasonal annual passes ..
Team member tried to create 3 park passes & we only required ioa/us..

There was no mention of any promo offer or asking if that was the correct annual pass (we had quite a discussion at wdw when upgrading tix)

There was also no payment involved.,
We were given cards & goodbyes & I had to ask re payment...
Was told no payment required & dunzo.

Does anyone know how long the promo lasts? I am going in January and was debating purchasing 2 park 4 day tickets and upgrading if we wanted or just purchasing the seasonal annual pass outright. Is there some benefit to purchasing tickets and upgrading to the ap or should I just purchase the ap outright? I am not worried about blackout dates. 4 day tickets are around $1199 seasonal ap with 3 months free is around $1219 per Universal website.

I would just buy the APs outright if you are sure the blackout dates are a non factor, saves the trouble of having to upgrade later at the park.

Well here is my positive experience, I hope it helps someone. I am in the USA and purchased tickets from Undercover Tourist. I got the 2 park 5 day tickets for the price of 4 days. I got 2 adult and 1 child for $914.85. These 5 day 2 park tickets at Universal website was $995.76. After entering the park I went to Guest Services in Universal Studios and upgraded to 2 park seasonal passes (15 months) for us all which cost $974.46. Universal valued my UT tickets at $995.76 so they gave me a Universal gift card refund of $21.30. So with the refund I spent $893.55 for 2 park seasonal pass for 2 adults and 1 child! Thanks to the Disboard members who helped me figure this all out. I can always upgrade the seasonal passes if we want to go during a blackout time. This was the absolute best deal I could due in case we come back next year (really want to).

They applied the offer for me in IOA with no questions asked.

It was:

$154 + tax to upgrade the 14 day 3 Park ticket to a 3 Park preferred pass

$54 +tax to upgrade the 14 day 3 Park ticket to a 3 Park seasonal pass

Very happy!

Darn. Says have to Activate AP early April to get the extra months. We don’t arrive till the 29th. I wonder if The offer will be extended. Haven’t bought yet.

They were not from universal directly.

They are uk exclusive as far as I know. They are available on all of the U.K. ticket broker websites.
