Will be arriving to the parks on Monday. When I purchased my travel package, I bought a 4 day hopper. I am wanting to upgrade it to a 7 hopper. Does anyone know how much the difference in price is? How would I go about upgrading my ticket? Thanks for the help and super excited for my first DL trip:)

You will have to ask to do this at the ticket booths or guest services. It should be about $5 per day but it depends on what you paid for your 4 day hopper. At DLR you are charged the difference between the gate price and the price you paid for your ticket(s).

I bought the tickets before the price increase so we would pay the difference between the 4 day and a 7 day at the new price?

Probably the difference between what you paid and a 5-day current ticket, then hopefully $5 each for days 6 and 7.

You would be credited for your 4 day ticket at the price you paid and then charged the difference for your upgrade. DLR no longer sells tickets for more than 5 days so you would ask at the ticket booths if you could add the 6th & 7th days. So, if you paid $250 for your 4 day hopper and a 5 day hopper is $300 you would pay that $50 plus another $5 (or so) to add the other 2 days each. I hope that makes sense. :) And of course those aren't real prices, those are just my numbers rounded to make it easier. :)

That does makes sense. Thank you. I was worried since they don't sell 6 or 7 day hoppers on the website, if they would add days to our tickets. I have been hearing both sides.

We were just there last week, and our friends wanted to upgrade their 6 day hoppers (they got from AAA before the price increase). They were told no at two separate ticket booths and by guest services. Were told that from here out, you have to pay the one, two, etc day hopper price for anything beyond a 5 day.

Maybe, just maybe, it depends on who you talk to, but they tried their luck three places and got the same response unfortunately.

Oh, and I wanted to add also that my sister had 4 day hoppers and it cost them $10 each to add a day onto each of theirs. So it's still inexpensive to add a day up to 5 days, but you can't add cheap days beyond 5.

I have a follow on question...can you only upgrade a ticket once?

I ask because I might be going with some people who don't know if they want to go Disneyland (nuts, I know :rotfl2:). We were thinking of getting them a very basic ticket (e.g., 1-day) and then adding days if they like it. However, I'm just wondering if they could add a day at the end of day 1 and then again add another day at the end of day 2 OR would they have to decide how many additional days they want to go before making any upgrades.

Thanks!

Yes, you can upgrade a ticket more than once. In the one time I upgraded at WDW, and from several reports of folks on here who upgraded at DLR, you will be issued new tickets when upgrading.
