upgrade ticket to DVC AP last day-confirming?

hi. I'm getting 3 day WDW tickets and at the end of the 3rd day, if we've done OK with genie, etc., we might upgrade to DVC AP. Confirming we can still apply our WDW tickets at MS and upgrade MS prior to exiting park and pay upgrade? Or, do we have to do it BEFORE we enter park for day 3?

It can be done anytime on that last day but we always have done it the first day since we knew we were upgrading. They have said that if you use a ticket during block out days and want to upgrade to the Sorcerer that has those block out days, you will not be allowed.

Oh no! I had not heard that they closed that loop hole.
Well, I'm going to have to let my SIL know. We have a Thanksgiving trip planned, and Thanksgiving is now blocked out. They were going to buy regular tickets and then upgrade on Sunday. This may put a wrench in our trip.
