Hello! I bought 4 day 2 park to park tickets from Undercover Tickets and plan to use it on December 20-26. I was wondering the best way to upgrade these to APs. Do I need to use them and then go straight to guest services to upgrade (where is guest services in the parks?)? Thanks in advance!

You can upgrade whenever you want. The upgrade price will be the same.

The guest services area will probably be less busy inside the park at opening, or you can do it when you are leaving the park for the night.

You may get gate price, but they will know what you paid for the ticket and will probably give that value towards the AP.

They do not know what you paid UT. If it is a 4 day (non-promotional) ticket, you are credited for the price of a 4 day ticket from Universal. DH upgraded his 4 day park to park ticket to a seasonal AP last November and was given a $10 gift card for the difference in price. You don't have to do it right away or even on the first day, unless you are upgrading to one of the passes that have discounts for food & merchandise. We have used the guest services inside US several times and they were quick and knowledgeable. They were on the right after the entrance, tucked back in a little courtyard.

Yes it’s a non promotional ticket so I’m hoping to get gate price on it. I am doing a one night on APh rate at PBH and arriving late at night so I want to do it first thing the next morning if they ask for it at check out. :) thanks all!

FYI, when I upgraded an UndercoverTourist ticket a few months ago, Universal credited an amount that was in between what I paid and the Universal gate price. So, I still saved some over purchasing the AP directly from Universal, but it wasn't as much as the savings would have been if they'd applied the gate price. For specific example, I purchased 2-day, 3 park ticket for $301.92 pre-tax. When I upgraded to 3 park seasonal AP, Universal credited $339.99. The gate price was $359.99.

Thanks for the info!! I wonder if they use the online price... :scratchin

Current online price is what you did list so I’m assuming they use the online price instead of the gate price?
Yep, looks like that's a match! Would be interesting if someone else could confirm that they used the Universal pre-purchase online price to determine the amount of credit to apply to an AP.
