Upgrade question

ok so I’m pretty sure this is a dumb question and that I already know the answer. Currently, we have seasonal annual passes that expire Jan 2020. If I wanted to upgrade when we got there to the next level of AP, I assume it would still expire Jan 2020 and not a year from the date we upgrade, correct? So since we aren’t going back until Oct(2019),would make more sense to let the ones we have expire and then purchase new AP for next year, correct?

Yes, the expiry date won't change, unfortunately.

A follow up question, if you will. I know it says that your season passes don’t start until you actually use them as opposed to when you buy them. How long do you have to use them? Say I wanted to buy now to take advantage of the 6 mos free but may not want to use until maybe April or June of 2020? Or, am I just better off ordering now and using my new passes when we go in October 2019 instead of our seasonal and not waiting until that expires in Jan?
