If I buy a 9 day date based ticket today from UT, what credit will be give for an upgrade to AP in July? I read the sticky. I’m just not sure with the price increase.

The “credit” that you get in an upgrade will stay “locked” once you buy a ticket.
What can change is the total price you must pay for the upgraded ticket (or AP) on the date that you do the upgrade. The cost of the NEW ticket will be higher, so you’d have to pay the higher cost at that time.

I’m sorry! I know this should be easy..... if I buy a ticket from UT today for 447 and upgrade in July to a Gold AP for 648.xx.(barring an increase) I would pay the difference between the two?

The exact credit you get may be a little different, depending on how Disney values the ticket, not sure how that part works.

It doesn't matter what UT charges you for the ticket.
It only matters what was the "regular" full price that Disney charged (listed on the Disney website ticket page) on the date that the ticket that you purchased was first printed by Disney... and sold to UT for thier resale.
