Upgrade pass for another day in park?

So do I remember correctly that we can upgrade a 4 day pass to a 5 in park that day? (Or any day...) We will be at DL for 5 days, but one day is the halloween party. I have an AP, so I was debating if we would go into the park before hand earlier, or just shop DTD. Its not much of a cost difference between a 4 and 5 day, but it seems like it makes more sense to just buy the 4 for now, and upgrade if my dad wants another day (or he'll just meet me when his Halloween ticket is ready). Thankfully my 2 yr old needs no tickets yet

Yes, you can upgrade a 4 day ticket to a 5 day. Just make sure to do it, if you decide to, before the end of your fourth day.

You can upgrade any pass to any other pass. The max days on a hopper is 5 days, so you can not upgrade a 5 day pass to a 6 day pass but you can upgrade a 5-day to an annual pass.

Or you can buy more tickets to add to your 5 days until you get the days you want. For example, a 2 day ticket + a 5 day ticket = 7 days. It all depends on whether this method or upgrading to an AP works better for you.

Yes, you can do this. I do not consider this upgrading or adding days to my ticket. I consider this buying two tickets.

Agree, it really is only "adding" because there currently are no other options to add beyond 5 days at DLR. Hopefully Disney will come up with some other options at some point.
