Upgrade MYW ticket at AKV?

I have an unused base ticket for son-It's a child's ticket but he is now 10. I don't remember how many days are on it, but we'll need to upgrade it when we get to Disney in June. Just trying to budget properly and not sure how much it will cost me to upgrade.

It was purchased at the disney store in 2007 for about $173 (it's either a 6 or 7 day base---can't imagine that I didn't spring for the 7 days at $2 more).

We want to do water parks/disney quest, but will not be hopping to the major parks.

I won't be putting them on the room keys because we have a split stay w/3 different reservations.

Can I upgrade it when we check in at AKV or do I have to do it at the park? We'd like to go to one of the WP or DQ the our first day. Thanks.

2- a 7-Day Adult MYW Base: $228
Water Park upgrade: $50
Total: $278 plus tax.

So You subtract $173 (what you paid for your current ticket) from $278.

Which leaves $105 for the upgrade (tax will also be added.)

3- You CAN, but I'd just do it at a ticket booth when you get to whichever park you choose first.

Yes. There is a full Guest Relations window at DQ.
