Upgrade MYW park hoppers to DVC AP?

Looking for some clarification on upgrading MYW tickets. We have a trip planned for the beginning of October (on rented points). We'll need to make FP selections at the beginning of August, and will all need to have park admission linked in order to do so. We're waiting on ROFR for our first DVC purchase, but our anticipated closing date is August 20. If we buy MYW tix now and link them, will we be able to upgrade them to AP's with our DVC discount when we arrive in October? I just want to be sure that we can upgrade since we definitely need AP's for another trip this year.

Yes. You can upgrade to a DVC AP in person.

Yes. You'll need your membership card to do it. If it hasn't arrived by the time of your trip you can get one at The SSR sales center and I think a couple other DVC booths at resorts.
