Upgrade MYW no expiration to AP??

I just want to make sure I have everything correct here. Looking for anyone with experience or Robo or Cheshire Figment to chime in. We are going to WDW 2 or 3 times over the next year, and plan on upgrading our tickets to a regular AP when we arrive.

I purchased through Undercover Tourist 4- 6day Park Hopper, Water Park, and no expiration tickets, 2 are adult tickets and 2 are child tickets. I received the tickets and got them linked to MDX.

I want to make sure this ticket can be upgraded to an annual pass with the no expiration option attached. I do know not to use the Water Park options, and to enter the park before I try to upgrade.

I noticed something else a little different when I linked them to MDX, I received an automated email from Disney Destinations that described the ticket as: "6-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper® & Water Park Fun & More & No Expiration Options - Annual Packages". What does the "Annual Packages" mean??? Is that anything that would prevent the ticket from being upgraded?? Within the MDX website the ticket is described as: "6-Day 06-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper & Water Park Fun & More & No Expiration Options".

Any reassurances are appreciated!!

1- You can do that. Nothing to prevent it.
2- Correct.
3- I don't know, but I wouldn't worry about it.
Could just be another of the plethora of glitches.
4- Sounds good.

Use the tickets to enter a Theme Park at least one time before upgrading.

Have you had a trip and done this yet? I was wondering because we are doing the same thing (6 day MYW PH+WP+NE) because it offers the deepest discount but I wondered if there would be any issues getting the gate price credited since (from what I understand) they aren't really advertising the 'No Expire' anymore.

That's misinformation.

The non-expiring tickets are still for sale from Disney on their website and via the phone, and at the park gates, and there are thousands of these tickets in circulation with guests from all over the country using them at the parks.

No problem upgrading non-expiring tickets.
