Upgrade from HNY to DLH??

I wish HNY was such a similar price to NPB on our trip, as I'm pretty nervous about NPB!

But SL was £250 more, HNY almost £400 more and DLH £1400 more!! For a 3 night stay we figure we may as well save the £ and try the NPB as it's the only hotel we've not tried around the lake. And it means I get a new hotel pin. Lol.

Wow that was a good price then Rosebug :thumbsup2 Flash sales have their uses ;) :lmao:.

Victoria, we are the same, when we go the HNY and DLH are WAY more than the other lakeside hotels  (no 40% offers sadly, almost rack price, notice SL now has 40% but we discounted that one for this trip!). So, I decided to give HNY a go on Ms Poppins' recommendation :lmao: (only joking Julie if you are reading ). As you say, you have done the other hotels, it is nice to try something different and that is one of the reasons I am staying with the HNY choice :). The theming at the NPB looks great and it's not like you are going in peak season :). I love the DLH but the price increase in June doesn't seem worth it when we have been twice before. Thank god we got APs though as the RO rates did help :thumbsup2

I'm considering the SL for our Christmas trip as I've heard it's the most Christmassy of the hotels and I fancy the log fire etc :goodvibes. Also, again it is nice to have a change, my only concern is the walk in the cold...

Aha, another pin fan - me too but only recently :thumbsup2 It is quite addictive though and expensive :scared1: I guess I'll be making a trip to the HNY shop looking for their pin then :lmao:.... I bet you have some great ones from WDW :)

:)

Yes I always buy a pin for the hotel we stayed in (so 4 for the wedding & honeymoon, lol) and then my favourite ride on the trip. Actually my favourite pin ever is my Mickey's Philharmagic pin as it moves. :)

You must spend loads on DLRP trips, you can get 2 weeks in WDW for a similar price to a 3 night DLH stay! You'd love it, especially once the new Fantasyland opens.

And all of the hotels are amazing compared to the WDW ones! :)

Do you collect Vinylmation too? I looooove them even more than the pins!

Me again :)

No I don't collect Vinylmation (sp?) as I don't have the room and don't *need* another collection :rotfl2:. I have looked at them a few times though :rolleyes1....

I adore the moving pins - just got a lovely Cinderella closet one where you spin the dress in the closet and it turns from rags to the pink dress from the film - it's fab!

I know re the DLH, the last two trips have been 4 nights and we never seem to get cheap flights either so don't even seem to get that right :lmao:. I think it's partly because I tend to organise myself fairly last minute (last trip was booked June for August!) so don't get much discount. But this time we got flights sorted for Nov early, although paid through the nose for June ones!!

The last trip DLH trip we got talking to a family at breakfast and they were WDWers through and through - said how much better value WDW was, they loved DLH but said it wasn't a patch on WDW hotels. Main reason I won't think about it at the moment is DD2 is still little and doesn't like flying that much. In addition, we'd have to go in school holidays which means very busy, hot and very expensive .

I priced up for next summer for WDW staying offsite (villa) and as a rough guide for 6 of us (inlaws were going to treat us - long story, we are now not going anyway!), it was about £14,000 :scared1:.

DH and I plan to go to WDW when DD2 is around 7 so another 3 years or so. That way we can all enjoy it and have the stamina for it :goodvibes.

For now, DLRP is where our :lovestruc is. Imo it's just the right size park for littlies and the short flight makes it ideal :thumbsup2
