Hey all
So I read Mommy2ash's thread on her successful upgrade and straightaway went to look up my dates for October and it is €50 cheaper. I hate to miss a trick so I have two options

1 - upgrade to SQL for €71
or
2 - add dining for our 4 nights for €100 for 1ad 1child (aged 4)

Is option 2 even possible for me as I am adding DD at check in??! She is almost 8 and its only myself and DS currently down as occupying the room.
Can the HB vouchers be used at face value? Whats their worth?
Can they be used in the Sports Bar? And in Rainforest Cafe?
Can I use them in conjunction with AP Dream discount?

Thanks in advance :thumbsup2

Half board can be used face value :)

No you can't add half board for DD as they are printed vouchers that you collect at check in so she won't be included. You could just add it for you and DS, use them face value and pay for DD's meals??

Can't use the vouchers in the Sports bar or RFC as these are not Disney owned.

To be honest, the upgrade would win me over as we took 400¬ for food for 5 days (2 adults, 1 child), and ended up being able to stay for another 3days because we didnt eat in high budget places. Though we did Inventions breakfast and Cape Cod too, we came home with 100¬ even after breakfast out in Torcy, lunch and dinner on site!

I think others will tell you differently, but we were given 2 counter service vouchers to use one day for 3 people. We used them in Hakuna Matata, got the meal value and then they applied the Dream discount and we only paid a few euros for lunch! I think it depends on the CM and if you are eating using face value or not. If you eat off the set meals, there will be nothing to pay as the voucher fully covers it.

Am about to sit down with DLRP magic's restaurant page, my calculator and have a good look at what works best - got it wrong earlier in my haste to type up this thread - Its €171 to upgrade, thats more then I'd be happy to pay

Is it possible to add on HB to make use of a new offer at a lower price? I was told no by DLP but am I right in thinking this depends on the CM you get when you ring?

Was about to FB you! Im going to try for HB on the French number! Im not pushed upgrading as Jimmys looking forward to the SF and ¬170 is a little steep. Will report back xx
PS 40 sleeps!

Kizzy I upgraded yesterday at first the cm said no its only for new bookings, I just said really I done it loads of times then she did it £68 extra for the SL.
I rang back when I got in from work to change to plus meals from standard, and take off cafe mickey, only £8, that cm didn't even question me.
It's just who you get I guess could you not move your room to take off the offer kizzy ? X

that is exactly what i did. i received my modification email today and everything is correct on it.

i rang and asked if i could upgrade my package in some way in order to get the new offer. he went away and checked and came back and said yes the difference in price is xxx so you can make it up by adding something onto your package. i asked about the meal vouchers and he said yes but they will be more expensive than price difference and i said that is no problem and he did it for me.

i think it definitely depends who you get on to. did you ring the french number?

Agreed it really depends on who you speak to, however I would advise you have all the figures in front of you when you do it, always nice to refer to them if needed (my pad has never seen so much use!)

No I rang and got the US call centre and by the time I got the French number it was 7.01pm! 1st thing tomorrow - we would have vouchers then for two out of three of us - does anyone know there face value at present and can we use them everywhere at face value? Its one adult one child.
Thanks for that Sonya, delighted I wasn't imagining it!

I had debated that! Im going to try the French number tomorrow thanks. You got some bargain (kinda gutted SQL was coming in at €171 extra - if we hadnt a trip booked for May it might have been an option)

Lol - theres more scraps of paper floating around with scrawled calculations here :rotfl:
I was very upset to have lost my planning notebook last week - its a blue Stitch one if anyone fancies praying to St. Anthony for me! It was jammed full of dummy prices, booked prices, calculations and menu / meal budgets based on each menu in each restaurant to suit our tastes. It was invaluable when the wifi was down or for planning on the move. Gutted :(:sad2:

I know you would of but you did pick the cheapest room option.
My Internet being real slow tonight :confused3.
Will light a candle for the book tomorrow. I would be lost with out my your going to be 40 book. It my plan in the making :)
You do have the DLH in may :thumbsup2

Be careful when using the DLPR site, menus and prices are not up to date - we got caught out a few times! Not much difference, but things like "drinks included" aren't necessarily correct now either :-/

Ya dont fancy doing a Carrie-esque update for our menu threads here do ya? I can do SF, the Village and a few CS mostly in the main park. I noticed its been a good while since DLRP magic was updated and Carries last updates on the Dis seem to be a better bet.
