upgrade daydreaming...AKL

Anyone ever upgraded from AKL concierge to a suite? just a fun daydream, but there is still magic left in Disney so I'll dream on...

Janet2k has stayed at an AKL suite and she has the fabulous pics to prove what a wonderful "dream" that is.....a suite "sweet" upgrade!

I think ducklite might have been upgraded to a suite. I think I remember a thread on it months ago. If I remember correctly, I believe it was also her birthday during this time frame.

I have never been upgraded to a suite. Boy would that be a treat. I have however been given a tour of a suite and it was very nice.

I jumped in and booked us for our very first concierge visit to AKL arriving Sept. 29... will have plenty of time to dream... hope I'm not let down when we get there from daydream overkill... just can't keep from being excited and wishing I knew exactly what to expect... our first night will be POFQ... a good place to arrive and wind down...
better go bock to reality... have chicken and noodles on the stove...

You're going to love AKL! Enjoy all of your planning, and please book your sunrise and/or sunset safari as soon as possible if that is what you wish to do while there! Those do book up fast. I have never been on the sunset safari, but my son and I loved the sunrise safari.

We were upgraded to a fabulous one bedroom suite Last August. I had booked pool view deluxe because that was all that was available for 5. Club was not available. I asked if it would be possible to upgrade to club was told yes, for 60 more per night, So I ended up paying around 327 total. The kicker was they had no more rooms that sleep 5. On any level club or otherwise. They had 2 queens smoking, which we could not take because we had asthma problems. And 1 king with day bed. That we had to take. It went somthing like this. SIL on the day bed, me and twins aged 3 in the king, And I actually had to get an air mattress that I had in the car for DS9. When the air mattress started to deflate at 3am, we patched it, The next pm, we all slept in the bed like the Clampetts, cross wise.
The next day while arranging a birthday fireworks cruise in the lounge. I mentioned the situation to Ann and she graciously said she would find us another room, She never told me it was a suite. Boy! What a surprise when I opened that door! It was great, Beautiful, huge balcony more a porch with a table to sit at we ate breakfast there watching the animals every day. It was great, I loved it!

DH and I got upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite last March at AKL! We had booked concierge and nothing was left with a savannah view because one whole savannah was closed- so lucky us we got the suite! It was truly awesome and had a huge shower and 2 balconies with different views.

how nice it is to hear everyones stories! There really is nothing better than making memories with the ones you love... and if you are fortunate enough to have upgraded to a suite... all the more magic! I'll certainly pass on any magic shared with me!
How is the sunrise safari with a 4 yr. old? Would love to do this as part of the trip, but do they frown on little ones for the special concierge safari? My little girl would probably love it as she is quite the animal lover... like her mama...
also do people often bring a small child when they do concierge lounge? Just wondering...
