Thinking about staying 1 extra day at WDW and want to hop. We already bought a 2 day convention park hopper. I need an additional 1 day hopper. I know that these do not exist. Is there anyway to upgrade the convention ticket to a 3 day? I'm thinking that this is impossible. But, if all else fails, we could always buy a 1 day and stay in 1 park.

Does anyone know?
Thanks

PS. Check out my countdown!!:hyper:

We had two 2 day convention park hoppers. Last week we were able to use the value of the tickets, about $96 each, to purchase other tickets, in our case annual passes. I don't think there is a 3 day hopper ticket that you can purchase.

As far as I know, you can only upgrade to a pass that Disney sells to the general public. Disney doesn't sell 3 day hopper tickets directly to the public.

Best wishes -

Convention tickets are upgradable tickets You can upgrade both to those tickets available to the general public as well as other convention tickets. I belive there is a 3-day convention ticket, there was a year ago.

The big thing is that you have to do this at a convention resort (Coronado, Contemp, Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach). If you try to do it at another resort they can do it (as its all the same computer system) but since they do not specialize in conventions they are not trained on how to handle the convention tickets (or even how to find them in the system).

I HATE to contradict Liberty Belle, since she works there and all...

BUT....

Upgrades can only be done at Guest RELATIONS. The Resorts have Guest SERVICES.

The convention resorts may be able to sell the convention tickets, but they can't do any kind of upgrading.

Both Guest Relations at the parks & DTD can upgrade to all forms of tickets.

Guest Services at the resorts can upgrade tickets as well, but they can not do upgrades that involve annual or seasonal passes. The convention resorts cast are good at doing the convention upgrades as this is actually quite common, it happens a lot if the group buys its guests say a one day ticket, but the guest wants to play in the parks longer. Its about a five minute process.

In over 5 years on the front desk I have personally done the upgrades many times.

My bad.

Hence the reason I hate to disagree! ;)

Thanks for your replies. We are staying offsite. Do you have to be a guest at one of the convention hotels in order for their guest relations to upgrade you? I just called the Contemporary and the CM said that she "thought" you did.

World of Disney on International Drive also sells the convention tickets, but you have to have convention ID to purchase them on site. They may be able to do an upgrade.
