I accidentally bought my 10 year old a "childs" park hopper. They didn't ask me the age of the child so I never considered that he was considered "adult". Will they question me about this? Can I just pay the difference at the hotel? Is he considered "adult" for all the character meals too? That's definitely going to change my budget if he is. I panicked when I read that I had bought the wrong hopper pass. Please...what do I do now?

1.) Calm down!

2.) I wouldn't worry about it. While I'm not an advocate of cheating the system, I don't think they're going to ID him to find out how old he is! :) Besides, it was an honest mistake on your part.

If your conscience won't let you just let it slide, then simply explain the mistake at a guest services window, and they should be able to help you. But personally, I wouldn't worry about it.

As the other reply stated I really think that you will be okay. I have never had a cast member ask about the age of any of my kids. That would take too long if they did that for everyone. Usually I am the only one handling the passes and I know that I have put an adult pass through while one of the kids was going through and a child pass while I was going through, so don't worry, don't mention it and just go and have fun.

As far as the character meals, not sure, I mean if my child just turned 10 in the last few months and it is a difference of 10 dollars for a meal, I would just go with the child.

As for the meals they are considered "child" til they turn 12.
I had checked on this last year since my DD is 11.

Like the others said....don't worry about it.

:D Unless your child looks big for his age, you should have no problem at all

If you want to upgrade the pass to an adult hopper just stop at Guest Relations at any park or at a WDW Resort. They will apply the full price paid toward the price of an adult PHP.

For dining at WDW "children" are 3-12 yo for buffets and children 12 and under can order off the childrens menu if they wish.

Have a great trip!

Would the difference in price really make so a differnce to your budget? Just have a character breakfast less
