Upgrade AAA Single to Multiday?

After extra thought I decided it might be good to upgrade the single day passes I bought at AAA (actually a friend did since I am not a AAA member) to a 2-day multiday park 'hopper' pass, so we could flip flop between the two Universal parks and be all choosey. Can this be done at Guest relations? Will they demand some proof of AAA membership or would I pay the difference between a full day price + an extra day? The AAA people told me to try to upgrade at the park because they only sell single day passes. I guess I might loose the savings from AAA, but had anyone done this? Is it a big deal?

I recently asked if I could upgrade my one day pass (I bought it in 99 before ioa opened, we never used one ticket) .
I was told I would need to take it to member services to upgrade. Not sure how much cost difference is though.

You will pay the difference between the cost of your AAA pass and a 2-day pass price. You will receive a discount on your 2day pass if you show your AAA card to them.

Just stop by Guest Relations to get it done.

I'm not a member of AAA though. A friend got the tickets for us. Do you think it sill be a problem upgrading them then?
