Upgrade a child to Adult DDP

I imagine you'll be able to work it out, we had the same problem at Atlantis. I don't even know how many different people I had to call to get it worked out, they didn't want to talk to the travel agent but me personally for some reason. Even when we arrived and I thought I had solved everything, they still didn't have my DD under the adult plan. They were easily able to change it at the front desk, so what I thought would be a big issue wasn't. Of course, Disney is much easier to work with, so I think you'll be fine.

DVC, or package?

On a package, you have to list your four year old as 10, and that means an adult ticket---and biometrics. I'm not sure that a 4 year old's fingers will work o the scanner, but they might.

On DVC, no worries---just list as 10, and be done with it.

One question though: why do you want to do this? Most Child TS meals should be fine for your average four year old. If CS meals are the problem, it would be cheaper to just buy the infrequent adult CS meal out of pocket than to upgrade the child.

It also may be cheaper/easier to add an adult appetizer and pay OOP to supplement the kids meal...

Good luck!

I see from your post that you are going to Pop and have free dining booked in September.
If this is the trip you are talking about, I would venture a guess that it may be more difficult to get your dd an adult dining plan under the free dining promotion. I think that this may not be an option under this promotion as adding extra adult TS credits would be a costly. If you are bouncing back, you already had to list your dd's age.

Does your 4 year old really eat adult portions and choices all the time? I agree with diztherapy that adding an appy might be a good option.

Thank you, Ok yes I called and I can upgrade for $90. Last year dd didn't eat much of her kids meals as she likes a lot of meat and such and was eating all my food. We also don't do buffets. For the $90 I can just buy her a meal here and there to supplement. It wasn't the portions, just the type of food.

I think I am losing my mind with all this dining stuff and this is our 3rd year!
