upgarding my plan

I am so torn and I hope that my Diser family can help me.

I am on the CS free dining in Nov. I really want to upgrade to the DD plan and was wondering if I call and upgrade now (113 days out) and then before my payment is due in October I decide that I want to go back to QS can I do that?

My biggest thing with DD plan is making ressie it's like you have to plan your trip around the restaurant you will be eating at. Also a big part of it is money we are on a budget (like everyone else) But I love to eat and so I don't know what to do.

why not just wait until shortly before your final payment is due and upgrade then if you have the money? They'll let you upgrade right before your 45-day-due-date with no change fees. That way you'd have no stressing while you budget for the dining between now & then. If something comes up & it won't work, no problem, you're still set with the counter service. I guess I'd be concerned if you upgraded now they might not let you go back to free counter service...not sure how that works, ya know?

You can go ahead and get your dining reservations now at most places with no deposit or pay-in-advance (except for places like CRT & the dinner shows, you do not need to pay anything in advance to get reservations.) Then, if you decide to get the plan, you're all set. If you decide to stick with the free CS, you can cancel the table reservations.

You should be able to upgrade/downgrade freely up to the 45-day mark. After that upgrades generally have change fees waived, unless you're waiting until the last minute (a week or so before arrival), but downgrades do have the change fee applied.

I'd agree with waiting until at least your 45 day mark to make the upgrade, though. No need to commit earlier. And then, only upgrade if you have the ADRs in hand.
