Updating Pal Mickey

I have the original version of Pal Mickey that I purchased in 2003. I thought that I remembered reading that you could take your Mickey someplace in the World to have it updated. If this is true, where can we do this? We'll be staying at the Beach Club in October and I'd love to know the closest location to do this so Mickey is all ready to go. Thanks!

There's a store at the front of Main Street (right side of the street as you are walking in) in Magic Kingdom that helped us with our Pal Mickey last year.

What do you mean update? Mine is an older one too.

I was told that Pal Mickey gets updated as you walk into the parks, like go through the gates or something? At least that is what I was told in the store on Main Street when we asked that question

Sometimes he doesn't update and needs a little help. They have a machine to reprogram him. The CM there also gave DS a jacket and yellow bow tie to make him look like one of the newer Pal Mickeys. He said they had some extras.
