Updates from VMK Central*

Hello everyone! Just returned from my WDW trip, literally, and thought I'd share a few things I learned. First of all I'd like to thank the CM's working VMKC because I must have been a real pain in the rear(explain down there). My first visit was on my first day there and it was hot as ever and I ran into a VMK player who had come from England and we chatted for a while and on that day all the computer stations were working. That day I only handed in some quests since I had not gotten the Kali stamped and wanted my Mickey TVs. So I came back on the thursday that just passed to hand in the rest of the quests and I do so, no problem, and go to a kiosk "Out of Order", I look around and see that only 2 stations were actually working. And who was standing at one but the same player I had met 8 days earlier. I go to the open one while my sister waits and I decide to avoid the new TCG and check my codes. Well I got the no message lag after i entered a code and said ok and logged back in and a message told me that it was invalid. Tried a few more times with a couple different cards and finally got the CM over who was happy to help and apologized for the amount of "faulty magic computers" in the room. He must have gone and gotten a new card 4 or 5 times at the desk until they finally worked and decided I'd try the rest at home.

So my advice to any players traveling to the parks to not enter codes at VMKC, it will just cause frustration with the rest of the family.

I asked the CM a few questions about what would be going on with the Cinema and if he knew any plans for VMK events. He told me that they are waiting to the very last minute to pack up anything and will not be giving out card giveaways when closing day is coming just because they have left overs. He also said look for new ways to get cards but wait until October rolls around. I got a smile and all I could think was Epcot...


So to recap here:

*VMKC computers not working so well
*Enter codes at home
*No card giveaways on September 30th
*Expect other ways to get cards in October

Thanks for the info. I hope we see things to come at both parks for cards/codes. And even though you had trouble at the parks with the codes...I'd say becareful about them at home as well with how its been lately for some.

Thanks for filling us in! I'm happy that even with VMK Central gone, we'll still have ways to get new things. I've never been to Disney knowing about VMK so it'll be fun if there's still that option in the future! And also, welcome back!

I am the same as RachelNinja, never been to Disney knowing about VMK (2004 Before it opened!) and I am there for a while in October 8th - 22nd so I really hope something does happen.

Hey I was at VMK Central on Thursday When did you go? I was there when the park first opened, well a little after. Before 10 and then around like 6-7 just waiting for the parade. But yeah I got my Mickey TVs too. But for like 30 minutes there was noone from VMK there but then I came back and there was someone.

Thursday I was at MK and VMK Central but not until around 10:30 or so since it was the day before we left and we were just going to play a bit while my mom needed to pick up some things.

Wow, you're lucky you got someone to help you! When I went to WDW back in March, I had to explain VMK to them.

um this is something i should know, but which quest gets the tv's? Is it a print at home? if not.....are there any spoilers around?

So what happens when you get home with your cards and the codes don't work? You can't get help for them like you did at VMK Central.

I'm still waiting on VMK to answer my many emails about the cards I got at Christmas 2005 that didn't work once I got home.
