Updated: Ticket Prices increasing Tomorrow (CONFIRMED)

Last year Disney increased the price on tickets in February so this could very well be the same for this year.....it might be wise to purchase your tickets sooner than later to "lock-in" your rate.

Good Luck!!

Does anyone know if there is a date you must activate your AP vouchers by? I don't see anything about that on their website, but we aren't going until July. We have bought APs before but not this early. We usually wait until May.

Gosh darn it I don't want to put them on the credit card but I may have to since I don't have quite enough saved up yet. I would have by May though but with our family of 6, even a $10/ticket increase adds up!

Buy those that you DO have the money for. You will likely spend more in interest than you will save if you put them on a credit card.

It's a 0% card until December. I just moved money around and will put it on the debit card. I hate credit cards.

I just bought mine today and on the e ticket I printed out it said to redeem by December 31st of this year. Also CM on the phone told me that your "year" doesn't start until your first day in the park, which you probably already know.

Having been on the receiving end of having to purchase tickets right after a price increase, I am happy to report that we upgraded to APs in December and I am so glad we did. pixiedust:

Thank you. That's what I wanted to know. I did know about the year starting when you redeem it, but glad to confirm that hasn't changed.

Wow, glad we are going next week! I got our tickets already and I think I would have even if we were planning to go later in the year. I wonder how much more they will be.

I'm super annoyed that I can't buy AP's online with a DVC discount. We arrive later this week and I wanted to have this sorted out.
I feel like I'm gambling. Maybe they won't go up and I'll save a whopping $20 each. Or maybe they will go up a big chunk and we'll end up paying more than what we would have paid if I bought them at full price now.

*P.S. Full disclosure - I'm also pretty darn annoyed that the the WDW AP discount is $149. :headache:

It is often touted as “the happiest place on earth,” but those who visited Disneyland following an unannounced increase in admission costs on Sunday said they were less than happy about the new prices. tiny.cc/ljq1sx

^^ I'm guessing that is spam? I can't find anything on that it increased today.

I'm going to nab our APs tomorrow!

There should have been a link that appeared, I copied and pasted that address and it just says that "increases are rumored for mid-February". It's a WDW site that has other news as well.

Oh, I was talking about the pariswatches post right above mine. We are going to be there on the 6th but I don't know if I want to cut it that close!

We just bought our Deluxe APs through the CA teachers union. We paid $495 for each and the voucher says it expires 12/31/16.

Is it possible to add a new PAP to your existing payment plan to extend it another year? I suspect it is not, but thought I'd check. My pass doesn't expire until Sept.

Just to check, but you're asking about extending your existing AP to cover September 2015 through September 2016, right? My strong guess is that you cannot renew your AP at this point because the renewal window won't be coming up for several months. They'd let you upgrade to the PAP now, but won't pro-rate the price and it would still expire in September 2015.

I wonder if you could purchase a new PAP voucher now and then let your existing AP lapse in September 2015. I haven't ever tried to have an active AP and then purchase another voucher for the future, so I don't know if the system would let you. You would lose the AP renewal discount, so that might not be the route to go either.

Yes, you got it right! I'd forgotten about the renewal discount. I agree that that's probably the way to go. Thanks!
