I called safe passage to ask if I needed to get my vaccinated 2 year old a PCR test prior to our cruise next Monday. His card has been approved on safe passage but says testing at port. She informed me that no I did not but that he now needed to get a PCR test at the port instead of an antigen like I was told last week. She checked with a supervisor and said this changed as of Monday. She actually suggested that I create a ticket to removed his vaccine card and treat him as unvaccinated so I can get his PCR test done 3 days ahead and the antigen at the port.

Has anyone heard this?

I'd suggest reading through the last couple of pages of this thread: https://www.disboards.com/threads/children-under-5-covid-vaccination.3888098/

The short answer is, for cruises that leave before the official rule change on 9/2, parents with under-5s who are vaxxed are getting all kinds of conflicting information depending on the source. I would NOT remove his vaccine card, as the consensus seems to be that he will be properly treated as vaccinated in-person, even if the information you're getting from safe passage and over the phone is all over the place. I think most of the parents are doing the proctored antigen for their vaxxed under-5s the same time they do it for the rest of the party and bringing those results to port if they are unable to upload them to safe passage.
