I'm wanting to know if anyone has an UPDATED list of the evening offerings (Sun-Sat) at the Poly.

Tikiman's nightly discriptions haven't changed in over a year.....has the poly concierge weekly menu not changed?

I would also like to know if the food has changed, although if it has I am sure Tikiman (Steve) would have updated it by now.

Tiki man just replied to my email:

The offerings always change a little depending on what
the chef wants to do. The posted menu is just a general
listing of what they usually do each night. When I was
there in December it was just about exactly what is
listed but that does not mean it might not be different.

.....I wonder if I could call Poly a week or two before I leave....I just don't want to plan to be there for the food offerings to find SUSHI!! YUCK!! I'll eat anything but!

Thanks for posting the e-mail he sent you. As for the Sushi I like to eat it so that is one thing I am looking forward to eating there.

I think monday nights are sushi (california rolls). I call that stuff bait but dh ate it. I stay away, far away. I dont even like to look at it. I think they have the asian noodle bowl that night too. Its more like miso soup with some stuff you pick out thrown in, little pieces of chicken and shrimp etc. I tried it. Didnt like it. I have a list from december It doesnt look like it has changed.

My MIL and SIL stayed there May 13-18 and the evening food was the exact same as it was back in December. There was an extra added bonus of a "punch" each evening that had quite a kick to it.(My MIL said it was very yummy!!)

I did try that punch too. DH bought some back up to the room. I asked him if it had alcohol in it because we dont drink alcohol. He said no, but I thought I read somewhere that another poster said it contained wine? Anybody know about this. It was very fruity. He said it was just out on the counter. I know kids are not suppose to be in the lounge alone, but if there was alcohol in it, I wish they would label it etc. as such.

There definitely was alcohol in that punch...my MIL asked "Chef Dick" what the ingredients were and there was rum(light and dark I think), white zinfadel wine, a liqueur that I can't think of right now and fruit juices (mainly the passion fruit/guava one they have in the lounge)

OHH!! It was PUNCH with the alcohol????

I agree!! There should be some supervision or some kind of notice to let people know!!!!

There is notice/warning that the punch has alcohol. It has a sign that is fairly prominent that informs you that it has alcohol. Also, the punch is very definitely in the area with the other alcohol--it is right next to the wine and beer, and shares the same stack of cups for serving yourself. In fact, I think you have to reach over to the right of the alcohol to reach the pitcher with the punch in it. I think it is also on a tablerunner/tablecloth that is definitely a part of the alcohol service area. I don't know how you could miss that the punch has alcohol. It's not with the other soft drinks or anything.

I think her dh wasn't paying enough attention, LOL!!
