UPDATED! OK I managed to give myself a concussion yesterday!!

Well yesterday after a great ending to an otherwise uninspiring round of golf, (i finished par bogey par and won the tourney in my flight WOOHOO), I managed with great panache and quite a bit of pain to give myself a concussion.

We were turning in our score cards when i realized i hadn't signed it as the scorer and the other person riding with me need to attest. I reached back into the golf cart to get a pencil but had my visor still on so didn't see the top of the cart and managed to bash myself but good on the top of the cart. It went over the top of my visor and left me literally seeing stars. I have a welt in the middle of my forehead and a headache to end all headaches....

It wasn't too bad at first but by last night I was dizzy and feeling very sick to my stomache. I got very little sleep last night although I was dying to get some rest. I woke up this morning after tossing and turning and still my tummy hurts, my head hurts, and I believe my bruise on my forehead is going to be multicolored. And wouldn't you know it Britt is out of town in Austin so it is just me and the kids.

Ouch, I bet that hurt. Your going to have a nice purple lump for days.
Any mother or nurse would have told you if you are dizzy or feel nauseous NOT to go to bed. But you did and you woke up so your on the mend. If your nausea, headache, and dizzyness continue today get to the Dr and have a CAT scan. You could have done some damage, either shook your brain, or chipped a bone. Don't let it go if your still feeling terrible.
Now as to Britt being out of town, that is the worst.
1. you don't have anyone to watch you.
2. You don't have anyone to tell how uncomfortable you are so they can take care of you.
SO let us know how you are so we can take care of you on line. Peggie

Well no one actually saw me bonk myself but when i just kinda stood there stunded and tears started rolling down my face they kinda noticed and figured out what happend... Got me ice and found me a chair. So the humilation of having all my golfing buddies (plus the golf pro at the club who happens to be my boss...LOL) know that I did such a bonehead thing is complete. I am sure they will be talking about it when i go to work on Sat.

Peggie I don't think i ever really fell asleep. I did know about the sleep thing so yesterday when I got home and just HAD to take a nap I called Britt and told him to call me in two hours and if I didn't wake up to call the neighbor. Didn't really sleep during the nap either though....So I am kinda tired....

Figgy- I hope you feel better soooonnn, and I reiterate what Peggie says...if you still feel nauseated and dizzy with throbbing head....please high tail it to the doctor...right away...
thats such a shame...hope you're "in the pink" soon.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my headache is all gone as is the nausea so I think I am gonna be OK.. Thanks for your thoughts...

I'm so sorry to hear about this!! I'm glad you're feeling better and hope you continue to improve!
Purple is my favorite color, but can't say I'd want my head that color!
