Thanks for the well wishes and pixie dust. My husband's team came through and we are WDW bound! Now to pick up the gifts for them...and save for a team dinner.

WAHOO!!!!!!!!

:cool1::cool1::banana::yay:

So, we're supposed to go to WDW on April 28 - we being me, DH, and DD. DH has a small department in a large IT company that had contracted out some key s/w development activities. Turns out the consultant they hired has not completed - or started - the work the company hired him for. So DH has to pick up the project - which he is able to do but certainly not an expert to do - so if he can complete between now and April 27, we can go...if he cannot, DD and I go...and it won't be the same.

Keep a good thought for us please.

I totally understand...sending everything it takes for EVERYONE to be in WDW on the 28th.

This may be an excellent opportunity for a Mommy/Daughter trip, which could be unique and exciting for you! You can do girl things, and maybe your DH can have a Daddy/Daughter trip later in the year!

So, I guess I would ask, if you are planning a trip with only your daughter, from scratch, what would you do? BBB? Something from the SSR spa? Princess related character meal?

Why cant he go and do it at the hotel? if its development work cant he just go and bring a laptop ?

That is the problem with software and contractors. I have been on both sides of the problem and can commiserate with your husband. Good luck with the project - hope he can do it in time

I just hate it when work gets in the way of family vacations!
Here's hoping you all get to WDW together. :grouphug:

If not, I agree with PP, a nice Mother/Daughter trip sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

So I'm working on that angle...DD is almost 11 -- and not a princess hair on her head :love: But truly an animal lover -- which is why we booked our first trip to Kidani for a change from our SSR. So, I'll start contingency plans...but sincerely hope I don't have to use them!

Thanks for the thoughts.
