Updated May Hours

ruh roh raggie- I think it is going to be busy!! We went the first week of May last year and found it to be quite busy. With knowing how to use the fastpasses the waits weren't bad, but just people everywhere:headache:

I was thinking about them extending hours the first week because it may be busy, but I am not sure. I mean, they only extended the hours at MK due to grad nights, so maybe it won't be too bad??? I am trying to be optimistic.

I've decided that worrying about the crowds won't change anything. We're booked, planned, packed and ready to go! If it's crowded then I know we'll be ok because we will be there for RD and we have a good grasp of using FPs. If it's not crowded then even better.

Check the hours the night before so you don't miss any last minute changes, be flexible and enjoy every minute. What more can you do?

I refuse to think about how the extension of hours and shows during the week of the 15th - 22nd may be an indicator of larger crowds. Instead I'm taking an optimist view and being thrilled that I will get to see all three night shows during the solo part of my trip and have much longer days to play with. I really hope these hours hold up, as I don't land until 10:30 on the Saturday and it would be great to have MK to play in until 2 AM.

on the disney websites calendar it says that hs is closing at 7pm on wed. may 25th, but then it says that fantasmic is showing at 9pm and 1030pm. is that right??

No, one is wrong and I would say its the closing time.

But again I didn't think they showed F! and Wednesday's expect for really busy time like right now.

I am hoping its closing at 7 and no F! I specifically picked that say because its am EMH with no F! but if its both, its sure to be crowded.

If you go back to the travel agent calendar it show late hours and two F! every night. Even on the EMH days.

psssst everyone!!!

I think they are expecting LARGER crowds but not large crowds if that makes sense! They are adjusting accordingly and I doubt that most of us will even notice a difference.

I do feel bad for everyone whose ADR's are affected. My biggest problem with the times is that we were going to spend most of mother's day offsite with my MIL, but I had hoped to make ropedrop and Rapunzel while hubby was getting the rental. I am not sure I want to wait an hour now -lol!!!

woe is me:rolleyes1 lol!

Why do they not list The Magic the Memories and You show times??? :(:confused3:confused3

MM&Y runs approx. 15min. before Wishes begins.
Also, sometimes a bit after Wishes, too.

The calendars never list anything but the major parades and the evening spectaculars.
So, to check the times for all of the other shows and events...

This is a great site to keep BOOKMARKED for future reference.

The following site posts the stage shows, in-park and other on-property shows and their times for the CURRENT week.
(It is updated every weekend.)
The times may be "similar" for other dates as well.

Click below-

Steve Soares' TIMES GUIDE Site

At the top of the page,
click on the colored links for the various parks
to open their listings and view their show times.

Be sure to check back to the site as the actual dates of your trip get closer.

But does it run on a non Wishes night?

That's why I gave the Steve Soares site link.

It will list the show time, if any.

I don't think there has been a night without Wishes since MM&Y premiered.

We haven't had a chance to see if they'll run MM&Y on a night without Wishes yet.

.

Yup.
The slow, creaky ol' WDW Calendar finally made the predicted changes.

Sometimes you just have to wait it out. :goodvibes

Glad the calendars are being reconciled.

Have fun, everybody!! :thumbsup2

We are going May 15 - 22. Was really excited about the low crowd numbers, nothing above a 5! Hope things don't change. I really didn't notice a big difference in the time for the park days I selected. Hoping for the best.

We'll be there at the same time (the 12th to the 16th) an I did notice that MK and DHS hours are extended frmo what I originally entered in my planner.

I was wondering how many of you on Touring Plans have noticed your crowd numbers changing since the updated May hours came out? Ours didn't change a bit, and I just find that strange. Though I have had issues in the past with them being slow to update with known info before, they did at least put in the new hours on our dates. So not sure if they're sticking to our travel times numbers or still working on it. Did you notice anything?
