I don't quite understand the "value" category. So these will be studios that only sleep 2, 1BR's that only sleep 2, and 2BR's that only sleep 4-6? That guess is based on "no pull out". Will these be the parking lot views?

I think the pullout being referred to here is a new single type that will bring occupancy to 5 and 9 respectively in 1 and 2BRs.

Here's some stats for you all............

They are renovating the 5th & 6th floor of the Lodge and there will be 134 rooms available.

They will build a "new" DVC resort, next to the Lodge and Theme Park that will have 324 rooms for a total of 458 DVC accomodations.

The size of the DVC will be just shy of the OKW resort (525 rooms).

Yes, that is correct, I think of it as a sleeper/recliner, not a sleeper-sofa, but as usual, I may be wrong!

First of all .... Thanks for all the informative updates!

Not many points available for the first release.

I was told that cast members were excluded from this release, so it was only availble to the existing DVC members. Can't confirm, but that is what i was told.

Interesting about them taking e-mails for date stamping the first 100-150ish 150pt contracts. I guess if you don't have e-mail (like my parents and in laws) and your guide is late to work or off, you are out of luck.

One question about the e-mail, would that have be to your guide or member services?

I am eligible for a CM discount and my guide told me that I could purchase beginning Feb. 1st like other DVC members. So, I think if you are CM and NOT current DVC owner, then you cannot purchase yet. However, if you (or family member) are a CM AND and a current owner, then you can.

Update 2, he called back. I have a March use year. I get all 150 points immediately, but they are waiving the banking deadline so I can bank these points into 07.

In the queue. My guide is off tomorrow so his "buddy" is taking his list and submitting it. So I had to give him all the details today. (I did a 100 point and a 50 point. Financed the 100 paid cash for the 50. Figure I will pay off the 100 soon, but hadn't really planned on this right now!)

BTW, when I posted about missing or inaccurate info I was referring to the info that some (not you) posted about just a very few concierge rooms. I do think some guides must be giving incomplete info at this point or some of the other info over the months such as the concierge lounge for AKL guests being moved has been wrong. Only time will tell though. I just love reading all the info, theories and rumors.

Disney just confirmed that anyone who purchased the require points by Feb 28, 2007 will have their name on the Tapestry. Disney just made this decision several minutes ago. This has got to be true since I got the information from a DVC guide.

That is great news. It will make it much better for everyone involved. I talked to my guide today and am all ready to buy 150 points. I think that this is definitely the best way to keep the members happy.

Sadly, the DVC Member website does not yet list the AKV point charts, or even the AKV as far as I could find. Under specials the $8.00 deal/developer points are *NOT* listed.

However, there is a brand new sweepstakes only DVC Members can enter.

I was told May 16th for AKV owners and June 4th for all others just now, for booking for this fall. The Guide I spoke with said they just found out it is later than what they thought.
