*UPDATED* DISDivas & Family October Mini Meet *UPDATED* (3.0 Version!)

Hey all! I'm loving all the planning. I've had a busy week.

I see Stacie has dropped from Goofy's and no one is stepping up to make the ressies. I'm thinking I don't want to go now. That's my only full day in the park, and I don't want to waste time walking all the way over there. I know it was kind of my idea to begin with, but that was when I had the family coming with me for a longer time. Cristabel can you please take me off the Goofy's list?

I think I'm good with everything else. I look forward to doing the F! seating, and seeing the dragon.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Heather

Could we pretty please move The Billys to Saturday? I do prefer the Sunday and Monday shows, but I think it will be easier to get the group there on Saturday.

Cristabel, here is a copy of Tina's post from a few pages back where she wanted to move Billys to Saturday.

Can you please remove me too from Goofy's? Thanks so much.

Donna (who has never seen such a large smoke "bomb" in the air until now - the SoCal fires are awful. We are just lucky the Santa Ana winds haven't kicked up.)

We're doing F! You're talking about he dessert, right?

I'm doing the happy dance for your PIN code, too1! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sorry to be a pain, Cristabel, but can you please take Allyson and I off the Goofy's list? Allyson doesn't really care about going anymore... oh, the drama of being a teenager!

On to other news: My DS18 got a tattoo last night!! He's coming home tomorrow, so of course I'll get to do his laundry, but we'll get to see it in person rather than a cell phone picture. Allyson (DD14) thinks it's the coolest thing and can't wait until she can get one. Christine (DD20) doesn't think it's all that cool. Oh well, if she thought it was cool, she would probably have one by now.

Seriously Allyson! Jeez...teenagers ;)
What is the tattoo? I think tattoos are cool and I plan on getting one (or some) if they have a special meaning to them not just a dumb one. I hope he REALLY likes it because well, it's for life. LOL.

Ok, you're removed.

Thanks! I should be on the Billy Hill list (which is Saturday). Thx!
Stacie, too bad for for friend but you're right, at least it is Disneyland!:goodvibes

Thanks Cristabel!

I misread Theresa's post because I thought she meant that she was making ressies just for her and Jesse. I was beginning to think no one wanted to do Goofy's! I'm glad some are still going. :thumbsup2

I'm excited about the party though, and need to find some green makeup for my costume. Is the cheap halloween makeup ok for a night? I don't want to end up with lots of zits from it.

Also, I'm excited about eating at WCT on Sunday again! Yum!

I would suggest using powder instead of the cheap halloween make up. It dries up, cracks and gets your face all itchy :sad2: Not fun when you're at the park. Also if it's still hot and you start to sweat the make up smears and gets very messy. POWDER FOR THE WIN!

Sorry, I actually said I was going to make reservations for Jesse and I... I kind of get the feeling no one else is going to go now anyway..... and now Jesse has joined Allyson and doesn't want to go there anyway, so we're out too :rotfl2:

You didn't misread it, that's what I said :thumbsup2 I don't think anyone else is going either - or at least none that have stepped up yet to say so :confused3 It looks like Goofy's is out for the trip :upsidedow

That is a good thought, and the way I've been having hot flashes lately....

Where to find greenish powder? I'll look around. Also, if my face isn't completely green it will be ok. You're right, I want to be comfortable.

Yeah, no one seems to be talking about it anymore. For me, it really is about time. I would much rather grab something in the park. :thumbsup2

Heather: no idea where to find it, but I know they use some type of greenish powder on the lead in "Wicked"--so maybe a search of sites about the play might yield some info?

That is a thought. Also, I'll have to experiment. I wonder if I could just get a matte green eyeshadow, and sponge it on.

I actually have a very light green powder to hep counteract redness. It doesn't look green on though.

I'll have to play some. :)

I might have missed what you're going as. (doh, I knew, I'm just sick in the head right now) Anyway powder won't turn your face green. You need base makeup. There is a stage makeup place here that probably carries it. I'll send you a link.

:):)
Thanks Cristabel!

I do facepainting professionally and I have some green facepaint that will work great for what you need. It's in a cake form and you add water so that it's like watercolor painting. When I do full faces, I use a sponge and lightly cover the area that way. You can make it as light or dark as you want. It's very high quality, professional makeup used for stage, etc. It's one of the best made, hypoallergenic, and it feels so light on the skin....like powder. I'll check and see if I have any extra to send you, or I can bring it with me that weekend and give it to you then. I won't be doing the party on the night that everyone is going, but I love doing facepainting/stage makeup and I'll be happy to help anyone who wants something done for that night.

Edit: It looks like I won't be available the night that you are all going to the party after all. I didn't realize that it was on Friday and we will be in San Diego that day and won't be returning until late in the evening. I'm really sorry that I can't be there. :-(

That's very nice of you to offer. I don't want it to be a bright green though, and wonder what shades it comes in? I need it to be more of a 'witchy' green. I'm not going to get to worried about it, even if I don't go green, I'll still look ok. I've dealt with stage makeup before, and I guess that would be ok. I'm used to mineral makeup though, and don't want to feel like I have stuff caked on. That would be uncomfortable. I've worked with Ben Nye makeups before, and I know they are regarded as among the best. We will see!

Ok, I removed you and your DS from Goofy's.

You should ask the girls on the disneyland community board who do disney-inspired make up. They use the real (expensive) stuff, MAC, but I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
wazowskilover:) and disneyl0ve.

I'm not going to scrap Goofy's off the list because there are still people signed up who have not expressed a want to cancel. I will PM the remaining people on the list and I'll see where it goes from there.

Sure thing amiga

Thank You, Cristabelita:goodvibes

Katie!!! How are you? It's going to be so great to see you! I've been sending you good good thoughts.

So what is the Billy Hill? Is it a show? A meal? :confused3

Remove me from Goofy's as well. I'm not a huge fan & was only planning to go when it looked like it was going to be a big group meal.
