I'm glad it worked out Dreams! The way that MS did it is what would have been expected to switch out the points prior to the waitlist filling. I think you missed the part of my post where I mentioned "if the waitlist fills" then you could switch the points though! It's a relatively painless process when done that way but I've lived dangerously with reservations in the past too and survived. Since the 1BR had been available for a few days anyway it was a good bet it would remain open for the switch.

Now I wish you luck on your studio coming thru!!

hehe, I read that part, I guess I just didn't "get" that I HAD to wait until after it filled to do that. I figured since I had them on the phone, and they had stated that it could be done, "Let's do it now!" Of course, now I see why it's done after, but that just makes me nervous too that I will get someone who tells me (months after borrowing the points), "Oh, you can't do that. Sorry." You know?

Anyhoo... it all worked out (minus a minor heart attack on my side midway through) and I truly appreciate your taking the time to type out the step by step up above. It gave me the info I needed to be confident in what I was doing with our points --- and something I didn't even know was possible. Thank you, again.

Now I wait for that wait list. Or we just sleep in a 1 bedroom our first night in Hawaii... as I said above, much bigger problems in the world than that. Thanks!

Lol - At least it worked out and you have the rearranging done.

And the big concern can be how you might feel moving to a studio after the 1BR on the first night!
