Since you had to buy a package to get free dining, what have you done with the ticket you needed to buy? Have you used it to upgrade to an AP? Have you used it yet? We are planning on going next week for a couple of days and we still have the room key cards with the 1-day ticket on it. We never used the ticket because of our APs. My AP expired the beginning of Jan and DD12 doesn't expire til March 18. I was thinking of upgrading my ticket to a Florida play 3 ticket. Just wondering is anyone has had problems with using their ticket at a later date.

Thanks,
Shirley

Make sure to upgrade at the parks. I tried with 2 different resort CMs and they kept telling me they could only upgrade to a different MYW ticket. When I went to guest Services at AK CM said "no problem". Save yourself the headache and just upgrade at the park.

We are planning on upgrading our 1 day tickets from last Sept. free dining plan trip in May(Fl Res. Seasonal Pass). Then in Dec. we are going to upgrade our DS tickets when we take a family vacation. When we checked in to our hotel the CM said that it would be no problem to upgrade, however, I am going to plan on having to pay full price, just in case.

Well I'll let you know how it goes next week. I might upgrade to the SP instead, its a $80 difference between the two but I'm suppose to be moving to the panhandle in May and I won't be going as much (8 trips last year) so I'm not sure if its worth it. But we'll see.

We got the play 3 days ticket with our package and since we had let our seasonal passes expire I just upgraded to a seasonal pass when we got there(at Downtown Disney). It was really easy.

We did the same thing you did, but haven't been back yet -- I plan to use it to upgrade to a different pass.

BUT we did have a BIG problem which thankfully I discovered on our last day of our trip. Because we had never used the ticket part of the room key, I stopped by guest services at Epcot just to check if the one day ticket was in fact on the room key, and it WAS NOT!!! It took a very helpful castmember about an hour to resolve this, but it finally was resolved with me receiving an actual one day pass for each of us, which I will use to upgrade on our next trip. I recommend that you bring any documentation that you have from your last trip just in case you have a similar problem.

I periodically have checked these boards to see if anyone else has posted the same type of problem but I haven't seen anything about it so hopefully mine was an isolated case.

Thanks I still have the confirmation letter. DBF went with us also and he has his own AP but he lost his key, not sure they will do anything about it but I'll try. I hope I can get a hard ticket for DD12's room key since we might not go back til next year.

We turned them in towards the purchase of our new APs with the DVC discount.
