We went to WDW in May but I'm already in withdrawl mode. DH has joked that we should go to WDW around Christmas and I know he is joking but I think if I could get really lucky with some well priced flights that he might actually go for it. We're DVC members and have just enough points to get us two nights at our home resort and maybe we could splurge on another night somewhere else. We each have 4 days left on our passes from May so all that would be left would be airfare and food. I'm thinking this could be our christmas gift to each other. Have I completely lost my mind????? Maybe I need to get a hobby other than planning trips to WDW :rotfl:

I think it sounds like a GREAT plan! Go for it--try to book the flights soon! They're really starting to creep up for that time. Have a blast--let us know what you decide! =)

I wouldn't even hesitate to try. Find out about the airfare first and then maybe the dining plan and availability of rooms at resort and then propose it to him. I would be on the phone this morning. Good Luck.

We were there in May, and will be going back in December!
It's not crazy, it's Disney!!!

Not crazy at all! We go 2x a year (April & August) and thinking about going for a 4-day weekend in December some year just to hang out at EPCOT and do holidays areound the world.

I booked a Christmas trip one year 2 weeks before I wanted to go. I got the room and view I wanted and even good airfare that late. It was a sign I was supposed to go. We had a great time and went many more times at Christmas.

We decided the week before Thanksgiving last year to go to WDW Dec 19-23. Less than a month planning. It was wonderful, we were able to get good rates on airfare, hotel, even a rental car cheap. We got reservations at our can't miss restaurant, California Grill. Even got MVMCP tickets for the last party on the 20th. We are very last minute planners and it has worked out fine so far.

The trip we are taking in Septmeber just started getting planned the middle of July.

Go for it!!!

If you're crazy then so am I. Last year, we went in June, Oct and Nov. Then I went back in Jan with a couple of friends. :)

I say go for it! The more Disney trips the better!

LOL My wife and I Got married last September (the 17th) and because of her school situation we didn't know if we would be able to go on a honeymoon until her classes started, the end of August.

We booked a week's trip starting 9/18 over Labor Day weekend :-)

We were there over Memorial day week, but DH did not get to go.. :guilty: So we had to go back....So we have rented points from our favorite DVC member and got 2 nights at OKW Dec 13,14 and plan to attend MVMCP! :cool1:

We have also decided to do a short 3 night Bahamas cruise on the 15th on RCCL.......

This is our Christmas present to each other for sure and we are keeping it a surprise from DD (8)....Picking her up at school and heading to the Airport.

If you are flying Southwest they have not released any dates passed Dec 10th I believe. They usually have a great sale about 6 weeks out...They have never failed me yet..>Come on $59 flights!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Go for it! What better way to get in the Christmas spirit!

We are going in AUG OCT and DEC Nice to know I am not the only crazy person there is a whole web site full of them.:cheer2: Go Disney

We're DVC members. We went in May 2006, and I'm planning trips for October and December of this year.

However at this point in time it may be near impossible to get a DVC room in December. Your first step should be to call Member Services and see what's available.

Thanks for the encouragement to be crazy! I carefully explained my case to DH when he got home and it took him all of 30 seconds to say yes!! I called DVC this morning and there was nothing open the first week but we were able to get a studio the second week of Dec which I think will work out even better. I found a great deal on airfare and a AAA rate on the third night. I think it is fate and I couldn't be happier. We both think this will be the best Christmas gift ever. We're also happy to be taking our son along who'll be 14 months at the time. We took him in May when he was a little over 6 months but he could really care less about everything which we kind of knew but we're new parents. I'm hoping in Dec. he'll be a little more interactive. He loves lights and things that fly so he should love all the decorations.

Thanks again everyone!
Laurie
