but you must pack the tree up in the morning on nov. 27 and drop it off at the front desk for the next family.

We were lucky enough to share a tree at the BWV last Holiday season and our generous tree donor had added a little Christmas gift in the box for each of the "tree families" on the list. It was a very sweet idea and certainly added to the Holiday Spirit. She also included a little notepad with her Holiday best wishes to those on her "tree list". We were then invited to add a note for her family to share when the tree came to her. We also added some Mickey candy and hot cocoa mix for her family to enjoy when the tree came back home.

The whole experience certainly added to our stay at the BWV and our DD still talks about how so many people shared that little tree.

This is so exciting! We will be at the Hilton Head resort 12/24 - 12/30. This is our first christmas at the resort and having a tree will make it that much more special! Definitely count us in.

The tree list is updated

To the tree donators , you may decorate your tree how every you would like to and add special little gifts to the families that are on your tree list or ask your families to donate an ornament, you can also add a few sets of lights(exstention cord) for the balconys inside the tree box, however you would like to do this is up to you. By Oct. i will post a thread for the dvc members on each tree list to pm me with their id name & last name and to confirm their dates, then i will forward only the families info on your list to you.

To the dvc families on the tree list, you will be asked to donate a few dollars ( depends on how many families are on your tree list) to ship the tree down to the resort and back to the original owner. If you would like to add an ornament or a token to the tree for the original owner to keep, to show your special thank you, you may. If you dont want to, that is fine too. This is about sharing the magic from one DVC Members Family to another DVC Members Family.

How do people who donate the trees buy and send them? I would be willing to donate for a tree but don't know how to bring one on a plane. Do people mail them ahead of time?

Yes. I am providing one tree for BWV that I will purchase and send down to the BWV in time for the first person on the list to recieve it. I am sure as time grows closer, we will get all the details on how to label it and such.

We have Boardwalk view and plan on decorating our balcony in style!
