Update to returning cruise merchandise

Hi all,
Just got off the phone with DSL merchandise customer service. Lawanda tells me returns once you’re off the ship are paused. There was no information aboard ship stating this. The return policy on the receipt still states I have a 30 day window to return merchandise. She also stated that they have no timeframe to restart returns. Be forewarned if you buy something during a cruise that needs to be returned onshore you’ll be out of luck.
 
I wonder if they have exchanges for damaged merchandise? My friend bought a shirt in 2019 and found a hole in it after she got home and customer service exchanged it for her.
