Edited to add that the site is back up and working. :)

Edited to add that Disney's site is down AGAIN.

Edited to add that Disney fixed the site! AP offers are now viewable, hopefully to all AP holders! :cool1:

Greetings,

Ever since Wed June 20 when Disney updated their web site with the new Annual Passholders Special Offers for Aug 5 and beyond, some AP holders are no longer able to view/access any of the AP discounts "Special Offers" on the Disney web site. When we try to access the Special Offers page, some of us get this message:
"Sorry, a system error has occurred. Please try back later"
:( If you are having problems accessing the AP site Special Offers, please post here.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve our problem, please let us know. Many of us have already cleared cookies, eaten cookies out of frustration (mine were chocolate chip), deleted history, and have tried many other things, with no luck.

I know many folks are able to view the rates with no problem, but I am hoping by creating this thread, we can figure out a way for all of us to access the new rates. If you are one of the lucky ones, perhaps you can let us know what browser you are using or any other info you think might help.

We are able to log on, but are aggravated since we cannot check out the newly listed resorts/dates that are available to us without calling Disney. After waiting weeks for these rates, it is disappointing to have this happen at the very moment when we thought we could finally get our plans ironed out at this late date. :headache:

We are aware that we can call in to get these rates, but it is so much nicer to be able to check online first. It comes in handy, especially if you have already booked, but are hoping to switch resorts or play with your dates to be able to stay at your favorite resort. It sure helps cut down on the long distance calls to be able to check things online first.

I have emailed Disney about this problem. Perhaps if others did the same, it would help.

Sorry this is so long. Thanks for reading!

You can call the 800 number to avoid the long distance charges. That's what I do. The number is 1-800-828-0228. I don't book online if I can help it but I know what you mean about being able to see things in advance. However, if it's broke then I'd call.

I can not access ap rates on the website either but, I did get an e-mail from Disney Destinations with the passholder information and when I click on book now it takes me to the site and I can see the rates for some reason.

Did you get an e-mail?

I have also tried everything and still no luck :headache:

I emailed them too but haven't heard any reply yet.

And no email either.

On Tuesday I had full access. On Wednesday I didn't. And it's driving me crazy (I still can't access the "Special Offers" portion of the Passholder website and today is Friday -- arg!).

I've complained a couple of times via the "Contact Us" link. Hopefully, someone is looking into it.

Please post to this thread if you are having problems accessing the Special Offers AP site. Let me know if you need more info.

We have tried from 2 different computers at home, my H's at work and my sister's. No luck with any of them. I have an unactivated voucher which has allowed us access in the recent past, but since it's not yet valid we didn't get the email.

i have been unable to access since the dates were released as well. i had no problem seeing the special offers section prior to the new dates. i have tried multiple computers, multiple browsers, clearing cache, cookies, shutting off my firewall. even had my computer genius husband look into it to no avail. tried his passholder id to get into the site & that didn't work either.

i emailed disney & never received a response. when i spoke to a reservations cast member about it on the phone she said there was nothing she could do personally but just suggested i keep emailing.

i never received an email about the passholder discount either. so i can't access via that link.

I have not been able to access the special offers since the new AP rates were released. Before that, I could access the special offers. I did email Disney and have not heard back yet. I cleared my cookies, rebooted my computer, etc. Nothing works.

Still, no problem for me. Used my home computer, work computer, and my laptop and can access anytime, anywhere. Not sure why some can and some can't. I've made some suggestions and have no answers.

Try the Passholder website now -- it is FINALLY working for me and another friend of mine who lives elsewhere in the US. Hopefully, it is now working for everyone.

Hi,

I emailed Disney through the web site link yesterday and got a response this morning that anyone using IE 7.0 was experiancing problems and that their IT was aware of the problem and was working on it. It appears to be okay now as I was able to access everything again.

Yeah! It works. Last night I had a survey pop up from Disney about their website and I told them how terribly inefficient the website is.

Well, it was good while it lasted!!

Ugh! I can't believe the site is down again. I think perhaps Disney should use their animatronics to maintain their web site. I think the dude from Carousel of Progress would be a good choice. :rolleyes1

"Sorry, our systems are unavailable at this time. Maintenance is currently being performed and we will be operational again at 7:00 a.m. EST. If you would like to request a reservation, please use our Reservation Request Form."

Well, I will refrain from starting a new poll on how many think the site will be back and working at 7 am as stated above. ;)
