*UPDATE*Portable DVD players and video game systems

O.K. We were going to get the 5" screen for our nephews so they can play their PS2 in the car, but I have seen some great deals on 5" portable DVD for the same price as the PS2 screen, and then they have a (basic) MP3 player as well. My ? is, can you hook up a game system to the portable DVD player? I can't find any info about that, and I was hoping to order one tonight on-line, while still in stock.
Any helpers tonight?

AFTER SEARCHING REVIEW AFTER REVIEW, YOU CAN HOOK THE INITIAL IDM-1731 7" TO A GAME SYSTEM....STILL CHECKING ON THE APEX..BUT THOUGHT THIS MIGHT HELP SOMEONE OUT.

Can't help you 'cause I don't know either - this is new to me too. But Walmart is advertising an Apex 5" portable dvd player for $139.67 for their sale starting Friday morning from 6am-11am - but they also have on their website (with shipping it is $141)

If that is the Apex PD-500 the amazon web site says you can hook up a gaming console

Alex...Apex PD-450, it is a 5". I was also wondering about the Initial IDM-1731 7".

Just off the phone w/ Walmart, and they are not sure if the DVD players are compatible Alex, what is the wording used to identify compatability? I went into Amazon and checked under the specifics, but being electronically impaired ( for the most part ) I cannot figure it out.
DH is sleeping off the Turkey, or I'd ask him...
I know it's late, but I really want to get this thing ordered tonight if I can!

On the amazon site it says

Switchable AV input/output lets you hook up a camcorder or a gaming console

BUT that is the PD-500
I don't know about the PD-450

Does PS2 have a car adapter?

we don't have a PS2 system, my nephews do, so I am not sure, but to hook our Gamecube up in the car we need/use a DC to AC inverter, provides 120 volt power as if at home. I think couplers will be needed for either system to fit the red/yellow/white connector cables to a portable DVD player as on some models the diameter is different than on a tv/vcr. I don't think those are too expensive tho, maybe $3-5 a set? We are still in the research phase of all this, I know Best Buy can help you if you call them and ask.
