UPDATE !! Pg. 3 - What are you watching on tv this summer?

I just upgraded my DVR to 1TB -- over 120 hours of HD (or like 1000 hours of standard definition, as if we'd watch any of that crap :)).

I don't have a regular schedule of watching TV in summer. I pick up a few shows, but if I miss them it's not that big a deal to me. We're outside a lot in the summer and miss most tv shows. Watching movies is something we do a lot and we watch those when we have time.

Here are some I'm interested in:

The Listener NBC(starts tonight)
HawthoRNe TNT (June 16th 9pm)
Leverage TNT(love this show - July 15th)
CSI reruns - I don't watch these shows during the regular season, but I do love watching reruns during the summer.

My DVR is at 72% filled, so I still have a lot of stuff to clear off yet including Harpers Island, 6 episodes of ER, 3 episodes of Desperate Housewives, Heroes, etc......

I need help :rotfl:

I wish my dvr told me how much room was left on it. :headache:

I don't really have any scheduled programs that I'll watch. I'll just find something on that interests me whenever the time comes.
I usually stick with PBS, History, History Intl, Science or NatGeo. I'll occasionally watch TCM or FMC or reruns of old shows.

So You Think You Can Dance
The Bachelorette
Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood

That's what's currently series recording on the DVR.

I find that I am watching a lot of Food Network and the Golf Channel. I will usually check out who is on Larry King as well.

NCIS I just got into this so I have new stuff to watch even though they are reruns! Whale Wars starts friday Deadliest Catch and I watched obsessed last night I'm sure I'll watch that as well.. I never new some people could be OCD over other peoples hands showing... Must learn more!

Baseball
More baseball
Well the regular shows would be:
Burn Notice
In Plain Sight
Deadliest Catch

I recently got into 48 Hours Mystery. I also watch Harper's Island. Hawthorne on TNT looks sort of good I will check out that show.

So far I have accumulated Chelsea Lately, her irreverence makes me LOL all the time.

Then there is In Plain Sight about Witness Protection, with Mary Shannon who played Howard Stern's wife in Private Parts, she's very likable IMO.

Also, I have the new show The Listener penciled in to see if its any good.

USA network just get's me:thumbsup2

Where did she come from? Her show is awesome! I skip the 11pm Guy so I can watch her.

Lessee... what am I watching... not too much! I am always so sad when all my shows (Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, Amazing Race) end in the spring, cause I know TV will be a virtual wasteland until fall.

I started watching I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, but it was just too awful; I had to quit after the first episode.

I watch Wipeout! for the giggle factor. I also catch a Mariners baseball game once or twice a week. I try to catch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sundays... I missed all of this season's episodes when they were first-run because it was on directly opposite Amazing Race so now I can catch them in re-run. I am looking forward to America's Got Talent starting up at the end of the month.

I watch Food and HGTV almost constantly, so I am usually watching whatever's on there. I am enjoying the HGTV $25000 Makeover. Alton Brown (Good Eats) on Food is my very favorite... I wish they would do another season of Feasting on Asphalt this summer, but it doesn't look like they are going to.

Finally, I watch a lot of the old sitcoms when they air on TVLand, Hallmark, etc. I am always up for an episode of Cosby Show or MASH. :happytv:

I discovered Chelsea Lately when my TIVO accidentally recorded her after The Soup and was immediately hooked. I don't know how long she's been around but I'm a fan for good, she makes me laugh out loud at least once a night.

I'm glad I kept up with this post or I would have completely forgotten to tape WIPEOUT, I hope the same commentators are back again. The girl was hilarious last summer!

You're in luck - same commentors. Last night was really funny. I love some of the new obstacles!

Ok, Dis friends, this is the ONLY place I will admit to all the shows I am watching right now... since my favs. (24, Survivor, American Idol) are done right now, this is what I have DVR'd:
The Bachelorette (I swore I wouldn't watch again...:rolleyes1)
Jon & Kate Plus 8 (It's like a train wreck, you just can't stop watching...)
Cake Boss
The Real Housewives of New Jersey...hey, I'm from New Jersey...gotta do it!
18 Kids...(The Duggars)
Tori and Dean...Home Sweet Hollywood

I can't wait until Top Chef's Masters show starts!

My DH gives me such a hard time about these shows, I like light shows that distract me from my own life's little dramas! (A teenaged DS, tween DD and a younger DD, yes, we have some of life's little dramas!)

:happytv:
When does Top Chef's Masters start?

I love Chelsea Lately! I don't know when her show started but I've been watching it a long time. I watch her instead of the 10pm news now. I catch her reruns when I'm up late at night too.

Also love The Soup!

Primetime shows we'll watch this summer:
The Closer (one of our favs)
True Blood
NJ Housewives
I'm watching The Fashion Show but I don't know how long I'll last.
Big Brother
We usually watch America's Got Talent.
