My DD (6 yo) came down with the flu Tuesday night and we had to take her to the ER and she was admitted. She has problems keeping her blood sugar stable anyways and this really has her all messed up. She is on IV's and our crappy little hospital that her pediatrician doesn't practice at keeps telling us she can go home. We couldn't make it to the other hospital because it is to far away and she was getting really low blood sugars. She stopped vomitting and is starting to eat some but is still having problems with her bowels which still makes it hard for her to keep blood sugars stable. The doctor that is looking after her doesn't have a clue about her condition (she isn't diabetic, she has a genetic disease that is very rare). He is an old country doctor with an attitude and the type that comes in, listens to her lungs and belly and is out the door as fast as he walks in. We can't even try to explain anything to him.
So any prayers that she gets better and can keep those blood sugars stable and we can bring her home would be appreciated. Her poor little fingers are so black and blue from getting them pricked and they are constantly sticking her to draw blood.
To top all of that, I had to miss my aunt funeral services and in the middle of the night I was up vomiting and had to call my DH so that I could come home. I am feeling a bit better and have to get back up to the hospital before my DH tears the place apart. He is not very tolerant with people, expecially when it comes to his baby.
Anything you can spare would be great!!!
