Has anyone seen it yet?

My daughter and I are going tonight - sil got us :woohoo: FREE:woohoo: tickets! She works on Mary Poppins and somehow was able to get us seats - I guess it is a disney show thing.

*****UPDATE*****

OK - so we went into the city and had dinner at Daniella's - which was pretty good but a little pricey....NYC...

Little Mermaid was great - We got to see Mary Poppins on opening night - (IMO I thought that Mary Poppins was better.) Ariel was very pretty and had a great voice. The scenery was very good. They appear to float on stage (pretty cool effect). Prince Eric falling into the water was also a cool effect. Sebastian rocked the house. But IMO "FLOUNDER" was the best. SO CUTE!! Amazing what kids can do. He doesn't have a huge part but he was very good!

HOLD on to your pocketbook and wallets --- programs from the show are $20... they walk up and down the aisle selling them along with a sparkly seashell pocketbook and soundtrack - but I am not sure how much those were. The concession was pretty expensive too! We had stopped at a newstand before we went in and picked out a few goodies.

So all in all it was very good show - I still liked Mary Poppins' better and I am a Little Mermaid Fan. We are going to see Wicked at the end of April for DD-10 bday.

Anyhone going to see it HAVE A GREAT TIME!!:dance3:

Have fun. We are going to see it at the end of April. I would love to hear how you liked it.

My mom, my two DDs, and I saw it last fall when it premiered in Denver. I thought it was so good!. We all loved it. Have fun!

Let me know how you liked it when you get back.

We went to see Mary Poppins in January and LOVED it. I especially like the fact that it didn't follow the movie exactly - made it much more interesting.

I also took DD9 to see Beauty around 6 years ago when she was 3 and to be honest it was nice but I thought if I closed my eyes I could swear that I was in my living room watching the DVD of the movie. 90% of the musical was closely following the script of the movie I thought.

We are taking dd 6 for her 7th birthday to see this at the beginning of July. We are really looking forward to the day trip and the show! Glad to hear more good things about the show :thumbsup2

I took my DD8 and thought she'd be too "old" for it but she absolutely loved it. It's really ingenious how the actors "swim" around stage. Don't want to spoil anything for anybody but it's very clever.

Hope you loved it and would love to hear your reaction to it. :)

Loved it! We are now obsessed with listening to the cast recording in the car. Made us love it even more than when we first saw it.

Hope you loved it as much as we did!

DD23 and I saw it in January. She was in kindergarten when it was first released in theaters so it is very special to us. We really liked it.

Happy to hear you enjoyed the show. We had tickets to take my 5 and 6 yo (it was actually ON my 5 yo's b-day) when it first opened..but then the stage hand strike ruined that one, and obviously couldn't go..but we made it up with a trip to the American Girl store..lol We haven't had a chance to get more tickets yet..but we will.
Now Wicked is AWESOME.. my DH took me to see it shortly after it opened, and we both thought it was one of the best Broadway shows we have seen....and we have seen a lot. Have a great time!

Stupid question...How much are Broadway tixs now a days? I haven't lived in NY/NJ for 14 years and I want to plan a trip (mermaid and AG) to take my girls in the next year or 2.
