We just returned on Sunday and did our tour of DVC that morning. I asked where Disney was in the selling of SSR. I was told that there are a potential of 7 million points available at SSR for sale, with Disney willing to sell 98% and retaining the last 2%. Sales were exceptionally good thanks to the incentive ( expiring today), and they have sold out the first unit and are working on the second now. They anticipate about two-three years before it is completely sold out.
Thanks to all the posts on this page.. We took the 72 hr option and did our research when we returned home, and decided it was a good deal for us ....took the plunge and bought 300points!!! Thanks for all the input!!! It really helped us to make the decision within the timeframe to get the discount!!
