Update on Pool-Hopping

A few weeks ago I posted a note about pool-hopping specifically being allowed according to Disney's website. Cast members, however, are very confused about this though. We stayed at PPH and were told we could use DH's pool at check-in (we had no problems doing so.) The pool at GC was a different matter though. At check-in, I was told "I don't think so." I called the GC and was told (after the cast member did some checking) to just stop by Guest Services and pick up a pool pass. When I did so, I received a rude negative response (definitely treated like the third class citizen I was staying across the street.) WHen I told her the name of the cast member who said it would be ok, Guest Services called a supervisor and said "I have someone from PPH who 'claims' to have talked with so and so yesterday who said we would let them use our pool. Are we still doning that for PPH guest?" After she hung up, we were given a card to use for pool entrance. I have a feeling that pool-hopping will not be allowed much longer for PPH guests at the GC (the same may not be true for the second-class citizens staying at DH.) To me, it really doesn't matter. DH has the better pool (the snack bar is nicer at GC but it is a pain to get to from the pool area.)
