Update on passports

Hi, just wanted to share that finally after 43 days from sending them express post we finally picked them up at the post office today.

PLEASE tell me you had problems of some sort or another, ie, rejected photos, birth certificates or something!

I just finished gettting everything together for mine (it expired last month).

43 days is ridiculous!

Sorry to alarm you, the problem we had was rediculous!!!

We sent them Express Post, and Passport Canada signed for them on Sept 22/05. On Oct 13 they charged my credit card. On Nov 2 (29 working days after receiving my applications) they call me from the inquiry office to inform me that the process will start over again because my credit card has expired, end of 10/05. I asked why that should make a difference, they got there money long time ago, his response was " well there is a mistake on these applications and we'll need to restart the process" Yes, I ""

That makes me feel better! Well, not that it took so long for you,,but, you know what I mean! LOL!

I just rec'd my (all 4 for the family) by express post yesterday. Now I did go to the office to drop it off on Nov 3 and was told that I should have them by Nov 18 and they were true to their word. I also know that I have mailed them in the past and had them back within about 20 business days. Good luck. Maybe living in Toronto makes a difference?

We did ours in London and had them back in under 10 business days and my oldest daughter we had to get her long form BC and finally once we had that and sent in teh app we had it back in 5 days.
