Update on our buddy, Doc (long)*Update 3/9 page 6; 3/25 pg 8*

Just wanted to give an update on our buddy, Doc.

Last week, when he was diagnosed as out of remission, he got his first chemo treatment. Today he went back both for his second treatment as well as an examination as to the good done by the treatment last week. As occurred back two years ago after his first treatment, Doc is in remission again. Amazing what these drugs can do. He will have about another 6 treatments, one week apart. As I mentioned in my first post, we know, as we did back two years ago, where this will ultimately end, just not when. As for now though, Doc is in remission.

Thank you all, everyone, for your warm thoughts, good wishes, prayers, so much appreciated by all of us. And if Doc could type here, he would say so also.

By the way-just showed my mom the pictures of Doc--he looks almost exactly like my dog champ! Mom asked why i had pictures of champ on here!
im now looking to see if i have any pics of him on here

That is the BEST news I could hear first thing in the morning!! I am amazed that remission starts so quickly in dogs! I know the next 6 weeks will be tough on him at times......but I am sure of 2 things. First, this "rough spot" will be well worth it in the long run and second........he is with a family who really loves him and will do everything in their power to make him feel better.

Give that pup some hugs from me..........and throw in an extra one from Thumper!!
